The highly anticipated More Life – Pass the Mic due to take place at The O2 Arena on 13th September 2024, was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. The event, which was organized to mark Stephen Lawrence’s 50th birthday, was unfortunately labeled as extraordinary, leaving fans and supporters disgruntled.
The Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation has announced the cancellation of its More Life – Pass the Mic event, which was scheduled for 13 September 2024 at The O2 Arena to celebrate what would have been Stephen Lawrence’s 50th birthday. Due to extenuating circumstances, the event will not proceed as planned, but refunds are being issued to ticket holders.
Refunds for ticket holders
Refunds for current price tag holders are currently being processed and can be mechanically issued through the original point of purchase. The organizers of the event expressed their regret but assured ticket price holders that the refund process is fast-tracked.
In a statement, Jessica Neil, CEO of The Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation, expressed her gratitude to each person concerned: “Thank you to our friends, associates and all the extraordinary artists at the coronary heart of this enterprise, and to the wider community for your continued assistance to The Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation. While the September event may not go ahead as originally planned, our paintings to honor Stephen’s amazing legacy by inspiring a kinder and more just society in his name remain and are now more in demand than ever.”
The Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation: Continuing the Legacy
While this event cannot go ahead as planned, the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation remains committed to its business of selling equality and justice in memory of Stephen Lawrence, the young man whose tragic murder in 1993 sparked the movement for racial equality and social reform in Great Britain. The foundation continues its core work through a series of projects aimed at building a fairer and more inclusive society.
Despite the setback, organizers and supporters of the occasion remain united in their motive and plan to find other ways to celebrate Stephen’s legacy in destiny.
